London 2012 Mascot Film

 

Recently the hottest topic is London Olympic Games, it just ended a few week ago. The mascot of London Olympic is Wenlock and Mandeville. I find this video about how the mascot created. The video is presented by animation. It is cute.

At the beginning, I am not interesting with Wenlock and Manderville because their appearance are very weird, it is an eye look. They are not as cute as the Beijin Olympic mascot---FuWa. After I watched this video, I am in love with them.

The Wenlock and Manderville inside the video is made of iron and steel. They are personated in the video. Iron cannot move in our daily life but in the video they did. They jump, run, laugh. One think i find creative and interesting is when thay walk near to some of the image of different athletics, such as aerobics, weightlifting, javelin, race and boxing, they will do the same action. Their action are very real and funny.

I like this kind of animation. It is interesting and it catches my attention through the cute characters. When I am taking animation subject in next year, I hope I can apply this type of element.

creative billboard idea

 

When I am doing with CCD assignment, I am doing research about the billboard. I find that there are many billboards are creative and interesting. At the same time, it brings the message clearly.

 

Today, I have find some billboards which I like. First two billboards use of environment. The MCD billboard show different shadow according to the changes of time. Second billboard use the colour of sky to show that their product is natural colour.

 

The forth and the fifth billboard is to show awareness. The forth billboard remind us to drive slow when raining. Otherwise tragedy will happen. The fifth one shows clear message to me. If back seat passengers did not wear the seat belt, when accident happen, the impact will same as the slingshot.

 

Those billboards is just a simple image but it gives us strong message. Those creative billboards are popular in other country. Malaysia is lack of this type of billboard. Interesting billboard will catch the attention of the driver.

 

After seeing those billboards, I think that design is not need too complicated. Sometimes, simple will seems more effectively. Besides, we should have strong comcept and creativity in your design.

3D street art

 

I appreciate those 2D and 3D street art very much especially 3D street art. Most of the 3D street art are amazing and realistic. Although it is drawn on the floor and it is just an ordinary painting, it gives us a realistic feeling, we can feel that we are really in the painting.

 

It is not easily to draw a 3D art. It needs experience and skill. If not, it won't become 3D. I am very admire those 3D painter. They can make a plain floor more interesting. So the people who wall on the road wont feel boring. At the same time, we also can play with the 3D image on the floor. Sometimes, there will be some unexpected scene.

 

Unfortunately, 3D street srt are not popular in our country. If there are some artist start this activities, Malaysia's road will become different and more interesting. Besides, people will enjoy walking on the road, reduced the use of transportation, the pollution problem will decrease, it is kill two birds with one stone.

shadow art

Everything on Earth will produce shadow when the light go through. We also can create interesting shadow by ouselves. Above are some creative and amazing shadow which I like the most.

We always think that a bunch of rubbish can do anything and also rubbish give us a bad impression. However, we did not think that rubbish can turn into such a beautiful shadow. The first picture show that a bunch of rubbish seem inconspicuous but when the light go through, we can see two people are seating back to back, drinking beer. It is so amazing.

The second picture show that randomly put some of our daily life items on the table, when the light go through, it become a spectacular urban landscape.

When a few friends together and feel boring, we can have a game like the picture show. Different position different posture can come out with different interesting scene. Most of the scene are funny.  I think I can try out next time with my friends. It is a different experience.

Everyone has experienced power failure in childhood. We always use the light of candle that shine one the wallto create animal shadow. We use our hand to create animal shape, when the light go through, it will reflect to the wall. Sometimes, we will have a animal drama show on the wall. I think this is the only fun we have when power failure.

Everything in our life have potential to become interesting things. Observe everything around us, we will discover anything different.

Thing that identifies the image of a product is its packaging. Nowadays, packaging design is very important to the company. Many of the company manufacturers think out of the box to produce a creative and innovative packaging design to catch the attention of the consumers. Today's consumers are very focus on the packaging of the product. The more creative the packaging design, the more able to attract the customers.

There are some creative and interesting design above, which i think is quite creative design. I like the design of the tea pack. It is pratical and interesting. When the visual of workers put inside the tea, seems like they are having spa and they are very enjoy it. Besides, the butter knife also attract me. When we are having picnic, bread is the main food we bring. Butter is indispensable. We always feel troublesome we have to bring butter knife along. The designer (Yeongkeun) replaced its ordinary container lid with a wooden, knife shaped. This way butter can be easily and quickly spread. This container is not only easy and fast but also it makes daily routine of spreading butter more fun and exciting.

Recently, I am searching for some creative stuff on Internet, I discover this website. There is one article "150 Amazing Quotes to Feed Your Creative Soul". There are 150 quotes which written by famous celebrity. Above are some quotes which inspire me in my design road.

As a graphic design student, we need creativity and ideas every time. Sometimes, when I don't have any inspiration, I won't come out with any amazing idea. I think this is a common problem faced by every students. Whenever an assignment was given by lecturer, I will struggle with them. Thinking what is the concept I want, how to convey the message to the target audience though my design. I have to think out of the box, do more research, find some information that can inspire me.
Everything in our life is interesting. It depends on how you see it. For example, photography. My lecturer says, everything around us can be the subject matter, the key is how to make it becomes more interesting through photography. Besides, photography also needs creativity to make the photo more interesting.

I still have a very long way to go. Many things to see, to think, to learn. I hope one day I will have flying colour in design field.

wall painting

 Recently, there are some picture spread over the internet by many internet users. There are a series of frescoes in Penang. Lithuanian painter Ernest Zacharevic created many creative and interesting artwork on the wall of George Town at Penang. Especially the fresco of a sister and brother riding a bicycle at Armenian Street.

The paintings on the wall make the whole town more interesting and realistic. It becomes a place where travellers must go when travel to Penang.

Sometimes, draw something on the wall wont make the wall dirty but make it more close to our daily life. Most of the parents think that draw and paint on the white wall will destroy the aesthetic of the house however think of the bright side, it is another kind of art.

creative drawing

I want to introduce an artist who inspire me of drawing. His pen name is Two-days One-page. He studied illustration and graduated from Dasein Academy of Art at 2002. He now working as a art director at clover creative advertising.

I first saw his artwork is on the newspaper. The newspaper published his artwork and I was attracted by his unique style. I like the cute and realistic picture he draws. Besides, his technique of drawing is very attentive and creative. The colour he used are bright and contrast. This is why I was fascinated by his drawings.
He always says, "if you got dream, chase it". Most of his drawings encourage us to pursue your dream even the humble dream.

Sometimes, I will observe his drawings and I learn from it to improve my drawing skill. I hope one day I also can draw something awesome.

photography -- diary of beautiful moments

This semester I am having digital photography class. I have to buy a DSLR. This is the first time I own my DSLR. I regard it as my treasure because it is expensive.

After having a few lecturer of digital photography, I realized that photography is a very profound knowledge. A good photographer needs a long time to explore the technique of taking photo.

Today I would like to share the most satisfying animal photography of mine. A few days ago, when i passed by Jaya One, there is a mother cat sitting on the floor. I quickly took my DSLR and capture every move and the expression of the cat. It sometimes looks very depressed. At the moment I will think why she looks so gloomy and her children are playing inside the underbrush. This is a big contrast.

After those days of shooting, I realized that photography can inspire my creativity. Every object can be our subject matter, depend on how you apply it. Before shooting a photo, I will find a good and creative composition. Good composition will show the shooting style of one person. I hope that I can have my own shooting style, distinctive style.

Sometimes, for the convenience of our life, we always hope that there are some products can correspond to our needs. When having those products, our life will become more convenience.

The picture above shows some creative and practical products which we can use in our daily life. Among the six pictures above, I hope I can have the product at the upper right corner. When I am reading a book, I always can't hold the book stably, and my hand will tired if I holding the book for a long time. This creation really useful.

Besides, I also hope that I have an umbrella which shows at the lower right corner. Sometimes, I am sharing my umbrella with my friend when it is raining, but the umbrella is too small, not enough for two people. Therefore, both of us got wet. If there is really have an umbrella which can cover two people, that's really good for many people.

Great invention gives benefit to us. Sometimes, when we think out of the box, there will some interesting and unique ideas emerge in the life. I like to search some creative products online although sometimes the products does not make sense but it really useful in our life.

Marriage is a stage which everyone have to pass through in their life.

When i was 18 year old, i got a dream to become a wedding planner or wedding photographer. I hope i can own my bridal salon. I hope i can plan a grand wedding for every couple.

Firstly, after graduated, I would like to work at bridal shop to collect experience. At the same time, i will attend some courses about wedding planning. Besides, photography is also my interest. I hope i can capture the most beautiful moment of the bride and the groom.

 I was inspired by Dr. Khoo Kien Ling who is the founder of ADAMAS Weddings Sdn Bhd.

Professionally, Dr. Kien Ling KHOO spent nearly 7 years in the research field at University of Leicester. She then received her Doctorate title in 2003, upon completing her PhD in Computational Modelling and Dielectric Properties of the Hollandite. She also worked for Far East Paper Products Sdn Bhd as its Quality Management Representative for 3 years.

Kien Ling’s PhD demonstrates certain qualities which she leverages on to carve success for herself in her newfound trade. She sees wedding planning as understanding the couple (analysis), proposing concepts to the to-be-wed couple (conceptualization), sourcing suitable vendors for the wedding within the couple’s budget (execution) and making the couple’s big day a success (action).

the creativity of everday life

Yesterday, when i browsing through the facebook, i saw those picture. The picture shows that our daily life also can be creative. Not only ribbon can do a bow but also paper, the ring pull of tin can compose into a lamp, the wrapper of chocolate can fold into a flower, and a piece of paper can fold into a flower.

Those handmade art inspire me of my creativity. Every small and tiny thing in my life can be modified and become a new, special and creative product or decoration. Being a designer, we should always have a creative mind. Pay attention to the small and big things in life, create a different thing.

Sometimes, I use some creativity to do a birthday card, the person who receive the card will feel warm and surprise. Besides, I will feel a sense of accomplishment.

I always desire i can create my own representative work. I hope one day i will achieve it.

My Girlfriend Is Gumiho

Today, i would like to introduce a korean drama which i first watch in my life. The drama is "My Girlfriend Is Gumiho". The title of the drama sound interesting. This is why i was attracted by this drama. i was attractted by the creativity of the story. Let's us see how interesting of this drama. :))

On one day after Cha Dae Woong ran away from his grandfather, he accidently freed a nine-tailed fox who was closed in a painting for about 500 years. He didn't realize what he has done, until the Gumiho (nine-tailed fox), who took the form of a beautiful woman, appeared in front of him. Dae Woong was really frightened that he ran away from her and fell on the riverbank. Since he was severely injured, Gumiho came to save him and gave him her most precious bead to share with him the mystic fox' strength, as she owes him her freedom. Gumiho then asked him if he can help her become human and how to act like one. In return, she allowed him to use her bead for him to shoot for his dream action movie despite his body's severe condition. As time goes by, their mutual relationship grew deeper as they start to fall for each other.

This drama is starred by Lee Seung Ki and Shin Min Ah. Co-operation of them make this drama more interesting. This drama has joy and tear, makes us laugh and cry.

 

I admire the courage of the screenwriter. They are sister. We always think that human only can in love between human, but not really, animal also can in love with human. They also can be romantic and sweet. ♥

I was inspire by the creativity of the story. I hope i also can have a creative brain and produce something interesting and also attract people to love my works.

warm in the world ♥

There is a koala bear rescued in a forest fires. Since it has been send to the hospital for treatment, it no longer obsessed with Eucalyptus but clinging to the doctor, refused to leave.

It is so cute. >ω<

Koala bear also have action like this. This story tells us that animals same as human beings, they also need warm and concern. If you abandon it, it will also feel grief and despair. Actually, if i have the ability to provide them a good environment, i will try my best to do it. I will take care of them until they grow up. I hope i can open an animal shelter to adopt those abandoned animals, give them a place to sleep and live. At least they won't bullied by others.

Animals also living creature, they also part of the Earth. Therefore, we should treat them like we treat human being.

I hope this is a world is full of love and warmth.
